Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 6, 2026

What we are aiming for.

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard most commonly used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities, and it is the one we designed and tested against rather than something we checked at the end.

What that meant in practice.

Every text and interface color on this site was measured, not eyeballed. Where a brand color did not have enough contrast against its background, we adjusted the web version of that color until it did.

The site works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on everything you can reach. Headings run in order so a screen reader can move through a page by structure. Links inside text are underlined, not just colored, so they are not lost on anyone who does not see the color difference. Form fields have real labels attached to them. The scrolling ticker on the home page has a pause control, and it stops on its own if your system is set to reduce motion. Nothing on this site advances or changes by itself.

What we know is imperfect.

Our online menu is not ours. It is provided by Dutchie and runs on a separate site. We do not control its code and cannot fix its accessibility ourselves. We have raised this with them, and if you hit a problem there we want to hear about it so we can pass it on with a real example attached.

The map on our Visit page is embedded from Google and behaves the way Google builds it.

The menu button at phone and tablet sizes does not tell a screen reader whether the menu is currently open or closed. It can be reached and operated with a keyboard and it announces itself correctly as a button, but that one piece of state is missing and we have not found a way to add it without rebuilding the component. Every page in that menu is also linked in the footer at the bottom of every page.

The age check that appears when you first arrive is a dialog that holds keyboard focus until you answer it. That is deliberate. It cannot be closed with the Escape key and you cannot tab past it to the page behind, because an age check you can skip is not an age check. Both buttons are reachable with a keyboard and carry a visible focus indicator. If you answer No, the dialog stays open and points you to the caregiver information rather than leaving you at a dead end.

We also do not claim this site is perfect. Standards move, browsers change, and things get missed. This statement is a description of the work and a commitment to fixing what we find, not a guarantee.

Tell us.

If any part of this site is hard to use, tell us and we will fix it. Say which page and what happened, and we will get back to you within five business days.

If you cannot use the site to get what you need, call us and we will help you over the phone. That option does not go away.
